first_imgMan City raiding Espanyol’s academy for Oscar Tarensiby Paul Vegas10 months agoSend to a friendShare the loveManchester City are raiding Espanyol’s academy for Oscar Tarensi.Sport says the deal is at an advanced stage and is set to be completed in January. Oscar turns 16 on Jan. 10, which is when he will be able to sign for any other European side. City, who have a big presence in Spain, have been following him for a while. He will join a growing number of Spanish youngsters at the English club, including ex-Barcelona players Eric Garcia and Adria Bernabe. It’s a blow for Espanyol. Oscar has always been one of the most highly-rated players at the club. For that reason, he has always played an age group up and is currently a regular in the Juvenil B team. He’s also a Spain youth international. Always playing on the left, he’s equally as good as a full-back, a midfielder and a winger. Board Exams 2018: Tips to ease your exam stress

first_img India Today Web Desk New DelhiMarch 1, 2018UPDATED: January 12, 2019 12:27 IST Exam stressStress has a simple formula: Stress = pressure / resilience.Pressure, the numerator here, includes what’s coming from outside – targets, exams, rank etc.Resilience is my inner strength to handle that pressure.Consider the simple metal sheets used in industrial applications. Different metal sheets are subjected to the same amount of pressure, but the stress factor of every metal is different because every metal sheet’s power to face that pressure is different. Now in the formula:Stress = pressure divided by resilienceWe have conveniently ignored the denominator and focussed only on stress. It’s ignored because one is not ready to take responsibility for their inner strength. Hence, stress = pressure. If I have an exam, obviously I will get tense. So, the trick is to increase your resilience- the more resilient you are, the better you can handle the stress! It is that simple. Now, let’s explore how we can do that.1. Study on a regular basis: The first and foremost reason for exam stress is not being adequately prepared for it, which in turn, is the result of not studying on a regular basis. It is the mountain of backlog to be taken care of, in a short period which takes away the fun from the process of learning. So my advice to the students is to study on a regular basis.2. Revision, revision, revision: I had read an essay by the great intellectual and nationalist Lala Hardayal where he says that without proper revision, the studies are like rainfall on a sloping roof”. I have emphasised the value of revision in my book- ‘The Wind Beneath His Wings’ and I quote-advertisement”Instil a habit of revision in your child – different types of revision at that. At bedtime, he should try to mentally visualise what all he has studied during the day. On Sundays, he should revise all that has been covered during the week. Likewise, at month end, he should revisit the ground covered during the month.”3. Meditation and Pranayam: I strongly recommend meditation and Pranayam- they boost the capacity of the brain to work long hours without getting tired.4. Realistic schedule: Make a realistic schedule for yourself. By this, I mean, a routine that you can follow in the long run. There should be a balance in it. A realistic plan is one where you find some time for TV, some for sports or whatever you like to do.5. Taking a number of mock tests: It is not difficult to get some model papers prepared with a view to the ensuing exam. The students should take at least 4-5 mock tests before the actual exam and in conditions worse than the actual exam. For example- if the duration of the exam is 3 hours, you should try to take 15 minutes less so that you find three hours ample time when you are writing the exam.Apart from that, I strongly feel that parents can also play a big role in keeping their children stress free. First of all, have realistic expectations for your child. Today there are so many career options so one need not be good in studies only. Let your child find his/ her passion & then let him/her achieve it. Last but not the least, no exam is the end of the world. Study hard, enjoy your studies, have faith in God and you will do well.Good luck.-Authored article by Swati LahotiGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story? Trent Boult on Mankading incident: We should play in the right spirit

first_img Ateet Sharma New DelhiMarch 29, 2019UPDATED: March 29, 2019 20:40 IST Trent Boult found the Mankading incident “pretty interesting” (@DelhiCapitals Photo)On a day when Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the guardian of laws of the game, revisited its stance on R Ashwin Mankading Jos Butler in an IPL game, New Zealand speedster Trent Boult indicated that the controversy could perhaps have been avoided in the first place.Boult, currently in India playing IPL for Delhi Capitals, found the entire incident “pretty interesting” given that the entire cricketing world is still talking about it, three days after the match got over at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.”I think the IPL tournament in itself is so exciting. Amazing cricket being played, the ball sails everywhere. The best of the best are on show in the tournament. I think we should just play in the right spirit in a way. Yeah, I do not see too much need for anyone to be doing that. One of those things, I am sure we can put it behind us,” said the 29-year-old.Delhi started their campaign in the 12th edition of the tournament on a confident note after beating Mumbai in their own den at the Wankhede Stadium. However they failed to hold up their fort ‘Qila Kotla’ against Chennai in the next game, crashing to a six-wicket defeat on Tuesday. Up next are Kolkata Knight Knight Riders, the current table toppers.”Yeah, they are a quality side and have played quality cricket at the Eden Gardens. It will be a good challenge for us to play them in the conditions that we know well. But, I think the wicket here is on the slower side so it will be a lot different than what they are used to in Kolkata. We are looking forward to the challenge,” Boult said, throwing down the gauntlet at Dinesh Karthik’s team.advertisementThe team has had enough time to recover and ponder over its loss against Chennai in the last game though.”Yeah, we are in good spirits. We know we are playing some good cricket. Obviously, we weren’t our best against CSK the other night but we have taken a lot of confidence out of our performance at the Wankhede and looking forward to the next match,” said Boult. Also Read | IPL 2019: Andre Russell needs freedom to express himself, feels Robin UthappaFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. Motorola Z4 images leak: Edge-to-edge display with waterdrop notch, single rear camera and other features

first_img Amritanshu Mukherjee New DelhiMay 2, 2019UPDATED: May 2, 2019 17:54 IST HIGHLIGHTSThe Motorola Z4 will come with an edge-to-edge display and a waterdrop style notch. The renders show a single rear camera, suggesting a 48MP camera. The Z4 will come with support for Moto Mods.Motorola may not have the most exciting starts for 2019 compared to other smartphone vendors but the Lenovo-led company has big plans for the year. The Motorola RAZR is the next big product from the company that has got the tech community excited. While that might take some while to be out officially, rumours of the successor to the Motorola’s conventional flagship smartphone lineup – the Motorola Z series, have been around for a while. A fresh set of official renders have leaked on the web, giving us a glimpse of the expected design of the Motorola Z4.Leaked by Sudhanshu Ambhore on Slashleaks, the Motorola Z4 seems to be a combination of the classic Motorola Z series design language and some modern design elements. From the front, the Motorola Z4 looks similar to the Motorola G7 Plus launched a few weeks ago. However, the bezels are narrow with an extremely slim forehead and chin. Motorola has cleverly hidden the forehead and chin with a curvy design. The forehead accommodates the earpiece while a small waterdrop notch houses the front camera. There’s no fingerprint sensor noticeable on the device which means the Motorola will go for the modern in-display fingerprint sensors. In order to accommodate the sensor, Motorola will have to rely on an AMOLED display to make it work. The rear looks pretty identical to the Motorola Z3 launched last year. The usual glass body with a big camera bump and the Moto Mods connector pins are present in their usual layouts. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.advertisementSurprisingly, instead of dual camera setup, the renders show a single camera. The Motorola Z3 and Z3 Play had dual camera setups. Even the more affordable Moto G7 series comes with dual cameras. If these renders are accurate by any means, then Motorola could offer the 48-megapixel camera and rely on computational photography to deliver better results, similar to Google’s Pixel series of smartphones.Motorola never launched the Z3 series in India and has been playing it safe with its Moto X series and Moto G series phones in India. It is not known whether Motorola will bring the Z4 to India. But if it brings, the company could position it against the likes of the upcoming OnePlus 7. The Motorola Z4 could come with this year’s flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset and could sport at least 6GB RAM. Motorola could be offering a 5G variant of the Z4 in the supported countries while other countries will only get the 4G variant.ALSO READ | Moto G7 Power officially launched for Rs 13,990, India gets more RAM and storageALSO READ | Mysterious Motorola smartphone with 48-megapixel quad cameras, waterdrop notch leaks: Is this Moto M2?ALSO READ | Moto G7, G7 Plus, G7 Power and G7 Play launched: Price, Specifications and everything you need to knowGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story? World Cup 2019: Waqar Younis feels Pakistan capable of reproducing 1992 magic

first_imgWorld Cup 2019: Waqar Younis feels Pakistan capable of reproducing 1992 magicPakistan won their first and only World Cup title in 1992 under the charismatic leadership of Imran Khan. After that the best they have been able to manage is place in 1999 World Cup finale.advertisement Indo-Asian News Service LondonMay 27, 2019UPDATED: May 27, 2019 20:42 IST Pakistan lost it’s first warm-up match against Afghanistan. (AP Photo)HIGHLIGHTSPakistan stunned India to clinch ICC Champions Trophy in 2017Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets to clinch ICC T20 World Cup in 2009Pakistan’s Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has also backed the team to beat IndiaFormer Pakistan captain and bowling great Waqar Younis feels Sarfraz Ahmed and his boys can pull off an upset this World Cup, much like they did in 1992 by winning the coveted trophy.”It is 27 years since Pakistan won the World Cup for the first time and this year feels like it did back then,” Waqar was quoted as saying by ICC.”No one gave us a chance and we arrived as the underdog. But the momentum came and we won the whole thing, that is the beauty of Pakistan cricket.”I was not part of the team because I was injured just before the World Cup, but I remember the team coming home. The whole country was out on the streets, the lights were on and we had a trophy parade.”It was party-mode, it was a carnival. Hopefully, that will happen again, but there is work to do,” said Waqar who coached Pakistan, besides being credited with the man who really put the reverse into swing bowling. In 262 ODIs, Waqar has taken 416 wickets while in 87 Tests, he has returned with 373 wickets to his name.”I think Pakistan arrive as underdogs and they need to start well. If they lose a couple of early games, then it will be an uphill task for them after that.”If they don’t start well then the negativity from series defeats to England and Australia could seep back in. They have been losing a few games and need to win early so settle nerves.”advertisementSince winning the Champions Trophy in 2017, Pakistan have won only two of the seven series they have played. The first of these was against a dismal Sri Lankan side and the second was against Zimbabwe. Three of the series defeats have been whitewashes.Despite that, Waqar feels if Sarfraz and Co. can get their fielding right, they have talent in their arsenal to pull it off.”The positive for Pakistan is that they have started scoring big totals. They have showed they are capable of scoring 300 plus and we saw that in their series against England.”The batsman have got used to the surfaces very quickly and have piled on the runs. They are all in good form, especially Babar Azam and Haris Sohail,” he said.Pakistan lost the series to England 0-4 but managed to put up 300+ totals on three occasions.Waqar said the top four looks sorted for Pakistan with Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq doing well.”Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq have also done well so the top four looks really good. That issue has been solved.”But the biggest issue for me is the fielding. The fielders looked out of sorts in the series against England and that could shake their confidence.”I am sure that will get a bit better but if the fielders don’t take their chances and catch balls and stop the extra 15 or 20 runs then they could struggle.”Waqar said he looks forward to watching Mohammad Amir in action, adding the overall bowling is headed in the right direction although they looked all over the place against the mighty English.”The bowling is moving in a good direction, with Wahab Riaz coming back into the side and Mohammad Amir restored. I am intrigued to see how Mohammad Amir gets on.””He is a match-winner, there is no doubt about that. If he gets some rhythm back, then he could be the difference for Pakistan.”On the flip side, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain are so talented and have long futures ahead of them. I am excited to see what they can do.”Pakistan will take on West Indies in their opener on May 31.”That first game against the West Indies will be vital. It is will be worth watching that! Both are very exciting teams and very unpredictable, you never know what you are going to get.Trent Bridge is a flat pitch too so there will be runs and it will be a fun game.Despite everything having gone on in the last couple of months, the country is behind the team. They all believe these guys can win the World Cup. (Reuters Photo)HIGHLIGHTSNew Zealand defeated South Africa by 4 wickets to remain unbeaten in World Cup 2019 so farKane Williamson remained unbeaten on 106 to guide his side to a winNew Zealand have climbed back to the top of the table with 9 pointsCaptain Kane Williamson ensured New Zealand maintained their unbeaten record in the World Cup 2019 as he guided his team to a 4-wicket win over South Africa on Wednesday and take the Blackcaps back on top of the points table.Chasing a below-par score of 242 for victory, New Zealand collapsed from 72 for 1 to 80 for 4 but Williamson stood at the crease like a rock and his unbeaten 106 helped the Kiwis reach the target with 3 balls to spare. He was involved in a 60-run partnership with Martin Guptill for the second wicket and then he added 57 with James Neesham after a mini-collapse to steady the nerves.Neesham, who is in red-hot form with the bat himself, scored 23 off 34 balls to provide the perfect support to Williamson. After Neesham’s departure it was Colin de Grandhomme who played a few big shots to ease the pressure. de Grandhomme and Williamson’s 91-run partnership took the Kiwis to within touching distance of the target before the former departed after a quickfire 60 off 47 balls. The chase turned tense after the dismissal but Williamson ensured there no upsets in the end as he guided the team past the finish line in the final over. Williamson’s 138-ball knock was laced with 9 boundaries and a six.Trust these two teams to give us a thriller!A brilliant hundred from Kane Williamson and from Colin de Grandhomme take New Zealand to a four-wicket win! #SAvNZ | #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/1nQk5Q2KTGICC (@ICC) June 19, 2019For the Proteas, Chris Morris grabbed 3 wickets while Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo and Lungi Ngidi took one each but that wasn’t enough for the South Africans to stage a comeback in the match even though it got close in the end thanks to some tight bowling but their efforts went in vain.advertisementEarlier, a tight bowling performance from New Zealand restricted South Africa to a modest total of 241-6 in their rain-delayed World Cup match at Edgbaston on Wednesday.Asked to bat first in a game that was reduced to 49 overs a side, South Africa’s batsmen, barring Hashim Amla and Rassie van der Dussen, failed to build on their starts in the face of a disciplined bowling effort from the Kiwis.South Africa had hope while Amla was at the crease but that too faded after he was bowled for 55 by Mitchell Santner in the 28th over but Van der Dussen’s unbeaten 67 gave them a respectable total.Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers, picking up three wickets, while all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme contributed with an economical spell of 1-33 in his 10 overs. Also Read | India vs Pakistan: Shoaib Akhtar, Virender Sehwag silence trolls who attacked Sania MirzaAlso Read | World Cup 2019: Pakistan announce ‘robust review’ of performance amid World Cup struggleAlso SeeFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. India went to World Cup 2019 without ironing out their flaws: Questions Ravi Shastri must answer

first_imgIndia went to World Cup 2019 without ironing out their flaws: Questions Ravi Shastri must answerRavindra Jadeja’s heroic 77 went in vain as India crashed to an 18-run defeat to New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 Cricket World Cup after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul flopped in a run chase of 240.advertisement Rajarshi Gupta ManchesterJuly 10, 2019UPDATED: July 10, 2019 23:29 IST Ravi Shastri as coach has a lot of questions to answer after India’s defeat in WC semis. (Reuters Photo)Yuvraj Singh. Manish Pandey. Ajinkya Rahane. Suresh Raina. Ambati Rayudu. Shreyas Iyer. All these batsmen were tried and dropped as India sought to address their middle-order woes in the lead-up to the 2019 Cricket World Cup.For the last 3 years, India had dominated teams the world over. Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were on fire. India’s top 3 batsmen turned into an unstoppable force. And in Jasprit Bumrah, they found a pacer who would go on to become the world’s best in ODIs. And along the way, they found two wrist-spinners who would bamboozle batsmen with their guile and variations. But one major problem kept Indian cricket on tenterhooks. The middle-order. Who would bat at No.4? Who would bat at No.5? Who would finish games for India? Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina were formidable in their prime but India soon realised they were no more the players they once were.Virat Kohli believed Rahane could be a good option in England but surprisingly, he did not even get a look-in after the South Africa tour in eary 2018.Months before the World Cup, the Indian team management decided Vijay Shankar could be a great asset in the middle-order. Called in as a like-for-like replacement for Hardik Pandya who was banned for his controversial comments on Koffee with Karan, Shankar was touted as a viable middle-order batsman because he could also offer a few overs of medium pace.In List A cricket, Vijay Shankar has an average of 36.32. In the Indian domestic set-up, there are many more batsmen with much better averages. Yet, the Indian team decided to go in with Vijay Shankar who had only debuted in January, months before the World Cup.advertisementBefore the World Cup began, Vijay Shankar had played a grand total of 9 ODIs with a best of 46. He played only 3 matches in the tournament before being ruled out with a toe injury. At no point during the World Cup, did he look like he could solve India’s middle-order puzzle?Rishabh Pant, a promising batsman undoubtedly, was called in as a replacement for opener Shikhar Dhawan. Pant is a wicketkeeper-batsman, is only 20 and had played only 5 matches before the World Cup. To his credit, Pant showed character with scores of 32, 48 and 32 in 3 out of 4 innings in the tournament. All these decisions were surprising but not enough questions were raised. Going into the World Cup, India did not groom their middle-order. A handful of games was never going to be enough. The middle-order conundrum was years in the making. There were players who had made an impact: Manish Pandey and Ajinkya Rahane were deemed solid players but they were inexplicably discarded.QUESTIONS FOR RAVI SHASTRI Ravi Shastri took over as coach in 2017 after Anil Kumble stepped down because of a rift with Virat Kohli. Shastri had enough time to plug the hole in that middle-order and call the shots. What were his inputs on the several middle-order options India tried out? What was Shastri’s role in deciding MS Dhoni’s batting order? What was Shastri’s role in helping batsmen tackle with overcast conditions which aided swing? What has so far been Ravi Shastri’s role in the Indian team?Ravi Shastri was team director in 2015 when India stormed into the World Cup semi-finals and lost to Australia. He was the popular choice after Kumble resigned in 2017. Both captain and coach have often spoken openly of their admiration for each other. Yet, there were gaps in team selection and tactics.MS Dhoni was sent in at No.7 when he clearly was no longer the finisher he once used to be. Dinesh Karthik who had batted only once throughout the World Cup, walked in at No.5 with the team tottering at 5 for 3. It was mayhem in the first half of the Indian innings before Ravindra Jadeja played the innings of his life to give India a glimmer of hope.Former India captain Sourav Ganguly was livid to see Dhoni sitting in the pavilion when India had lost their top run-scorers in the tournament. Ganguly wondered why Shastri wasn’t more proactive in deciding the line-up.”When your captain is out on the field, you expect your vice-captain, you expect your coach. But you have got to be proactive,” Ganguly said during his commentary stint when asked if Shastri would be empowered to change the batting order while the captain was out in the middle.Yes, India had a terrific campaign in the lead-up the semis but familiar problems did them in. Like in Dharamsala, like in England before, like in Hamilton, India were undone by the swing. Like in the Champions Trophy final, once India lost Kohli and Rohit, the rest of the middle-order failed (barring Hardik Pandya in the Champions Trophy and Jadeja and Dhoni in the World Cup semi-final).advertisementIndia went to play a World Cup without ironing out their flaws, hoping Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli would carry them through. Well, Dhawan was ruled out with an injury, Rohit Sharma did everything he could with 5 hundreds and Virat Kohli, though not at his best, scored 448 runs. But the rest of the puzzles remained unsolved.Ravi Shastri as coach has a lot of questions to answer. Also Read | Virat Kohli, KL Rahul had nervous energy while defending the ball: Sachin TendulkarAlso Read | Ravindra Jadeja has ripped me apart by bits and pieces of sheer brilliance: Sanjay ManjrekarAlso See:For sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. DIY Beer Candied Bacon

first_img How to Cook Steak in the Oven I’d be hard pressed to name something I enjoy consuming more than beer. With so many diverse beer flavor profiles readily available, it’s easy to pair any occasion with a different brew and never tire of it.Hypothetically, if I were to enjoy a flavor more than a solid brew, it would be bacon.High quality bacon, expertly prepared, is salty, sweet and smoky with the most satisfying crunch around the edges and a soft pull of the fat against your teeth. A light coating of rich grease is the metaphoric icing on top of the cake.So why not put the two amazing sensory experiences that beer and bacon provide together into a delicious (if not exactly healthy) dessert-worthy snack? Here’s my do-it-yourself recipe for beer-candied bacon.Related Post: Eat Bacon Around the ClockIngredients½ Cup Brown Sugar1 lb. Thick-cut Bacon1 Bottle of Can of Dark BeerBlack Pepper (just a pinch)Beer Note:In many beer recipes, you may be tempted to buy a lower-quality, inexpensive beer for your cooking experiments. However, in this case, you will have a good bit left over to consume, so buy a good beer that you enjoy drinking. I recommend cooking this recipe seasonally with the currently available Yeti Imperial Stout variant from Great Divide Brewing Co.Bacon Note: Try to avoid the mealy factory-farmed bacon and help responsible local farmers like these guys when buying your bacon. Happy pigs make for tastier bacon.Directions:Pour two ounces of beer into the brown sugar and whisk into a syrup-like consistency. Sprinkle in a bit of pepper. Enjoy drinking the remaining ten ounces of beer.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the strips of bacon on the foil and bake for ten minutes. Drain the grease, flip the bacon, and then return to the oven for another ten minutes until the bacon slightly begins to crisp. Drain again if necessary.Brush the beer and sugar glaze onto the bacon and keep baking until the sugar starts to caramelize. Flip and repeat with the other side. Continue this process until both sides of the bacon have received two coats of syrup and the bacon turns into a deep red color with dark, crispy artifacts of caramelization on the surface.Move the beer-candied bacon to a cooling rack where they will harden into stiff, sugary planks. Serve with beer (of course).Vegetarian Option: For the vegetarians out there, you may be tempted to try this with veggie bacon. Let me save you the trouble and report that it turns out like maple syrup coated cardboard. In this specific case, beer and “bacon” are two tastes best separated. What WE Make Makes Industrial-Rustic Furniture from Reclaimed Barn Wood

first_img Raleigh Denim Workshop Makes Jeans with Artistry and Ingenuity in the U.S.A. 5 Classic Whiskey Cocktails You Should Know How to Make The Lazy Man’s Guide on How to Make Hard Apple Cider When it comes to furnishing a home, office, or personal space – there are two paths you can go by. A furnished space can be featureless or it can be defined by choosing pieces that inspire. The folks at What WE Make — who build handmade furniture from reclaimed wood — believe in placing value in craftsmanship, history, quality, and sustainability alongside of functionality. What WE Make is a family owned and operated fine furnishings company that, since being founded in 2014, has fine tuned their craft to focus on using reclaimed materials and eco-friendly finishings to produce a unique product. Each piece of furniture is built using reclaimed old-growth wood from midwestern barns, hand welded metal, lightweight concrete, and non-voc finishes to produce an industrial-rustic feel. We reached out to Mr. Dan Quinn — the President at What WE Make — to learn a little bit more about what they do.Can you tell us about the wood you reclaim and how it makes its way to your shop? The wood for our pieces is reclaimed from barns in the Midwest — predominantly from Wisconsin. We work with a crew that dismantles the barns, cleans the wood, kiln dries it, and delivers it to our shop. From an old barn to a focal piece of furniture in a home, can you walk us through your crafting process?Everything starts with the beauty of reclaimed wood. Though it takes a few extra steps to get its beautiful look, the end result is well worth it. Each board is kiln dried before it makes it to our shop. We then clean it, rough sand, plane/join, and prepare it for assembly. Based on the project, we select pieces to fit customers requested aesthetic. It’s an art form picking the right wood as each piece of reclaimed wood is unique and has its own character. Our focus on the fine details and building heirloom quality pieces really distinguishes us from most reclaimed wood furniture makers. You offer both residential and commercial pieces, as well as custom orders for finely crafted furniture. What kind of custom pieces have you completed in the past? All of our pieces can be customized as needed. We make everything by hand, so in effect, each piece is custom. We also work with customers to design pieces to fit their specs. Many of our pieces started as a need for a customer that we turned into an awesome design and ultimately a lovely piece of furniture. We have created many custom designs from conference tables, to reception desks, to dining tables, to bedroom furniture. We can make most anything out of wood, metal, and concrete. You highlight sustainable practices and use of green products when building your products. Can you tell us a little more about what that means, with specific examples? Our foundation is based on reclaimed wood. We started working with reclaimed wood because it affords the opportunity to take something that had a prior life and turn it into a work of art. We relish this opportunity and try to carry it through our entire process. We also use all voc-free finishes to remove the toxins that many standard finishes bring into customers homes. We use paper packing products so customers can recycle their packing materials as oppose to foam. We try to use sustainable materials wherever possible.Industrial-rustic feel. Tell us more. We love clean design. Reclaimed wood is naturally rustic, but mixing it with metal helps give it a nice blend of that rustic charm and that clean rustic feel.  We try to stick with simpler designs to let the wood and craftsmanship speak for itself.  Our customers appreciate that which is why we have a large base of repeat customers and some customers that we have furnished their entire home/office space! Before we let you go back to building, anything else you’d like to add?We believe in finely crafted, handmade, reclaimed wood furniture. We believe in attention to detail and making things that will be passed on for generations. We believe that furniture should make a statement and stand the test of time. What WE Make, makes us. We believe this and put that belief into every piece from What WE Make! Now that you’ve learned about the company What We Make and the quality furniture they craft, check out their shop to find the right piece for your space.
